In response to your post, please be aware that Compix Inc., Imaging
Systems provide image analysis and processing software (SimplePCI), that
will meet your needs. The software is 32-bit and runs under Windows NT
and 95. Benefiting from the enhanced processing feature of the Intel
MMX technology, SimplePCI offers highs speed image processing.

Support is included for a wide range of video and digital cameras up to
16-bit monochrome and 48-bit color. Also, full control is available for
automatic XYZ stages, filter wheels, shutters, tunable monochromator,
tunable liquid crystals and RGB filters.

SimplePCI is the imaging system behind the successful Nikon PCM 2000
confocal microscope. The system is available with single or dual
monitor display (dual-one for the menu and one for full resolution
images). There is a module available for automatic fluorescence protein
time lapse and replay as well as calcium imaging.

Subject: Image Processing software/Metamorph

Hi, Everyone:

We are looking into image processing/analyzing software package that
allows
both controlling of microscope (stage and filters) and data acquisition
through a cooled CCD camera. It will be used for a multi-user facility
and
primarily for low level fluorescent imaging. Calcium imaging is not a
primary concern, though it may be needed in the future.

I posted a message last week regarding Image Pro Plus and "SlideBook".
Now I
am asking more general recommendation regarding this type of software.
Any
comments will be helpful. I am sorry to bug everyone twice about this.

More specifically, any one has any experience, comments about Metamorph
from
Universal Imaging Corp?

Thanks in advance. If you think it is not generally interesting, please
send
it directly to me.
