We have about 1500 hrs on our Kr-Ar laser so far. We have run it in low
power mode since we got it. In fact, we do all our imaging in low power
mode. We have seen no difference in images collected in low power versus
hi for fluorescien or rhodamine. We obviously use less neutral desnsity
filter in low power but otherwise it does not seem to matter. We usually
image at ND 2 or 3 anyway, so we never are pushing the laser to full power.
