Sorry to bring the laser subject up again but I would like to know
what is the average life of a Kr\Ar laser. Our second laser has just
failed having done 600 hours, a small improvement over the first which
managed 500 hours, a far cry from the 2000 hours which has previously been
mentioned. We are now expected to fork out 4,000 pounds for a new laser
and hope it lasts in excess of 700 hours!
