About the laser lifetime i can't tell you more then what was already
mentioned in this list. Ours is about 600h and all goes well.
But regarding prices, I got a quotation from
AG electro-optics for a new ILT Kr/Ar laser of 9680 pounds, 3225 pounds
to fit a new tube and 2035 for a refurbished tube.
