Dear Confocalists,

We are conducting studies on the uptake of surface modified inorganic
luminescent particles in living cells and wish to trace their movements. We
would like opinions as to what the best organelle dyes are to use for
colocalization studies including lysosomes, ER, Golgi, mitochondria, etc.
I realize that this is an exceedingly broad topic and those who choose to
respond might consider responding to me directly. I have looked through the
Molecular Probes product list but I have little direct experience with live
cell imaging and would value your suggestions.

As to a more specific question, I would also appreciate suggestions for
vital stains. Calcein-AM seems to be a good candidate.

Thanks to everyone,
