Pacific Northwest Microscopy Society meeting, October 23 - 24

The Pacific Northwest Microscopy Society (PNMS) will hold its annual meeting
this Thursday and Friday at Portland State University, Portland,
Oregon. Thursday
afternoon starts with a poster session and discussions. Friday's
session includes speakers Congressman David Wu, PSU President Wim Weivel,
and ONAMI Director Skip Rung, with afternoon tours including the
Center for Electron
Microscopy and Nanotechnology and Oregon Translational and Drug Development

Also of note, the national MSA meeting, Microscopy & Microanalysis 2010,
will be in the Portland Convention Center, August 1-5, topics to cover the
range from fluorescence to confocal, in addition to TEM/SEM and
environmental nanotech. There is committee work for all members, with corporate
memberships also available. If interested in the MSA meeting, please
