I would be interested in feedback pertaining to the fast scanner as
well--in particular I wonder if anyone out there has taken the
opportunity to evaluate the degree to which scanning accuracy and
precision vary as functions of scan speed and/or zoom level on the fast
scanners.  I would also be interested in information about the
comparative service life-span of such instrumentation.
