TAXES: Our best understanding of the tax rate is: 13% (national and provincial sales taxes combined), plus 4% (accommodation tax, varies between provinces) plus .5% Destination Marketing fee. [It is likely that the .5% might be removed from the bill if you ask (as it's a fee not a tax, no obligation to collect) but might also not (the hotel is entitled to charge it).]
Room rates (all rooms have a private ensuite washroom)
U of T Departmental Rate

  *   Double Room (for two people, two double-sized beds in the room): $179.80+tax/night
  *   Single Room (for one person, one double-sized bed in the room): $151.55+tax/night
  *   Rates include breakfast, served in the Dining Hall
Additional meal rates

  *   Breakfast is included in all room rates, and is served daily in the Dining Hall
  *   Lunch:

     *   Our Dining Hall will typically be closed for lunch, but can be opened for a fee, for a group of at least 100 people, with a minimum of 2 weeks’ advance notice: $14.25+tax/person
     *   A take-away bagged lunch can be provided for a fee, for a group of any size, with a minimum of 2 weeks’ advance notice: $18.50+tax/person
  *   Dinner is available for a fee, and is served daily in the Dining Hall:
     *   Can be purchased from the Dining Hall cashier: $17.75+tax/person
     *   Or you can pre-pay for dinner to receive a discounted rate: $15.00+tax/person
  *   A discounted lunch and dinner package is available for a fee, for a group of at least 100 people, with a minimum of 2 weeks’ advance notice: $26.00+tax/person

Parking information & rates
The underground parking garage (6-foot height restriction for vehicles) offers daily and monthly rates. Security staff patrol the garage on a regular basis. There is elevator access from all garage levels to the main lobby. The entrance to the parking garage is located on the North-West corner of the building, on the East side of Chestnut Street.
