Cloud-based provider Acquia <http://www.acquia.com>, has been selected
as the web hosting provider for the University's implementation of the
Drupal web content management system (CMS).
Founded by the original creator and project lead of the Drupal open
source web publishing and collaboration platform, Acquia contributes to
the advancement of the core technology and offers products, services and
technical support to simplify the deployment and management of Drupal

Acquia will partner with Drupal developers, Palantir
<http://www.palantir.net>, to provide the University with the
appropriate products, services, and technical support
for<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drupal>the University's Drupal
implementation.
Other project updates:

The University implementation team is working with Palantir to
develop user stories, as well as a strategy to migrate existing
sites from UMContent to Drupal.

Drupal pilot availability is expected by this November
*
UMContent is expected to be decommissioned by approximately November
2014
